We are so sorry to have to do this, as you know all our staff are highly qualified and are all self employed and this affects them greatly. Please bear with us and hopefully this crazy world will return to normal soon.
I am hoping to stay in contact with you all over this period and am going to try get computer savvy over the weekend - watch this space and READ your emails

SPRING TERM 2020

HALF TERM

Welcome back - please look on the school notices page for all information regarding this term.
School History
Established in 1989 and with over 200 pupils, the Lisa Jane School of Dance is now one of the premier dance schools in the North Hampshire area. It caters for students from 3-18 years-old in ballet, modern, tap, contemporary and street at three centres in Basingstoke and the surrounding area.
School Centres
The four main centres are at Old Basing Village Hall, Lychpit Community Hall, Great Binfields School, Four Lanes School and classes are also held at Sherfield School.

General Aims
Principal Lisa McCarthy is fully trained and qualified to teach Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) ballet and Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance (ISTD) modern and tap. There are examination sessions throughout the year and the school has an enviable pass rate.
Every two years, the Lisa Jane School of Dance takes over The Anvil Theatre in Basingstoke for its school show where all the pupils show off their dancing – and sometimes singing to rave reviews. In the years where there is no show, the school holds a choreography competition where the students choose their own music and make up their own dances with prizes awarded in the junior and senior sections.
The school takes pride in developing strong technique in young dancers but with a teaching ethos based on learning through fun. |
